She didn't know that people actually, like, were missionaries. But whether or not it was a thing, Elizabeth knew that that is what she had to do with her life. It was the first day of her first short term mission trip that she decided this. And it's a path she has stuck with since that summer. She was 16.
Before she will open the door to her house in the village where she will be working, she'll be 26.
10 long years. Years of joys and of trials but, through both, single-minded determination to find herself in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.
And she has arrived! With two babies in tow, Jacob and Elizabeth are forging a path to the village to do literacy work and bible translation with and among the Mum speakers of Papua New Guinea.
